The position is based in the Guilford/West London area within the Thames Region.
The General Foreman will work within our client's construction division, providing support to the Site Manager. This role involves coordinating the safe management of a section of work on major projects or controlling all site activities on smaller projects, ensuring HSQE (Health, Safety, Quality, and Environment), programme and budget requirements are met.Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborating with the Site Manager to coordinate and control initial site set-up, including the active installation of framework systems and procedures
  • Enforcing methods and controls to ensure efficient and continuous use of framework resources
  • Appraising and addressing security risks to all property under control in conjunction with the Site Manager
  • Supporting the Site Manager to maintain and enforce safety standards as required by law and company policies
  • Working in line with method statements and risk assessments
  • Ensuring compliance with all HS&E (Health, Safety and Environment) policies and procedures
Job Requirements:
  • ONC or HNC in a construction discipline
  • SMSTS/SSSTS certification
  • First Aid certification
  • Preferably confined space training
  • Experience within the water treatment industry (Non-Infrastructure)
