Start Date: ASAPAre you a skilled and compassionate Teaching Assistant with Team Teach training and a strong background in SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities)? We are currently recruiting for experienced professionals to work across a range of specialist provisions supporting children and young people with additional needs.The Role:You will be working in specialist schools or alternative provisions that cater to pupils with complex needs such as:Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) difficultiesModerate to Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD/SLD)ADHD, speech and language needs, and other SEND profilesYour responsibilities will include:Supporting students on a 1:1 or small group basis in the classroomUsing de-escalation techniques and positive behaviour strategies in line with Team Teach trainingAssisting with the implementation of EHCPs and personalised learning plansHelping to maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environmentWorking closely with teaching staff, therapists, and external agenciesRequirements:Team Teach certificate (current or recently expired)Previous experience in a SEND or alternative provision settingA calm, nurturing, and patient attitudeAbility to build positive relationships with students who present with challenging behaviourEnhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
