Key responsibilities include:Carrying out maintenance and improvements to buildings and grounds.Conducting routine Health & Safety monitoring, checks, and accurate record-keeping.Performing repairs to fabric and fittings, including carpentry, plumbing, glazing, and electrical work.Liaising with external contractors when necessary.Using IT systems for administrative tasksPlease refer to the vacancy pack for further details on the full responsibilities of the role.Where you’ll be basedField Studies Council Nettlecombe Court lies in a secluded valley at the eastern edge of Exmoor National Park. The grounds are made up of heritage parkland, ancient woodland containing many veteran oak trees as well as a Site of Special Scientific Interest because of its lichen communities.Just 30 minutes from Taunton, with easy access to the Somerset coast, Exmoor, and The Quantocks Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this is a truly inspiring place to work.Who we’re looking forWe need someone with experience in both interior and exterior maintenance work. You will take pride in delivering quality workmanship and have an awareness and understanding of relevant Health and Safety issues that comes with this type of work.
