- Ensure that all risk and COSHH assessments are in place and up to date.
- Setup CNC to provided setup sheets.
- Prove the manufacturing method and assist in optimising for production.
- Read engineering drawings.
- Select the correct tooling and holding devices for manufacture.
- Exercise best practice setups with operators.
- Liaise with Production Engineers when specialised tooling is required.
- Prove the manufacturing method and assist in optimising for production.
- Manufacture to correct drawing specifications.
- Carry out own 1st off inspection.
- Complete feedback tickets of set and run times.
- Complete OEE data sheet.
- Maintain production targets.
- Check and complete the necessary quality documentation.
- Maintain Lean principles.
- Ensure tooling and gauging are maintained to a high quality.
- Significant experience of setting and running CNC turning or mill/turn Machines.
- Apprenticeship trained.
- Fanuc program knowledge/familiarity.
- Ability to demonstrate a positive can-do attitude and work calmly under pressure.
- Ability to perform the job functions to a high standard under normal working conditions.
- Strong team player.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Committed to work to deadlines and determined to see a job through to a satisfactory conclusion.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Demonstrable desire to progress and succeed.
- PC Literate.
