If so, this could be the role for you.Supply Desk are seeking an SEND Primary Teacher to join a specialist school in the Southampton area. The school is entering an exciting phase of development, with a strong focus on meeting the needs of neurodiverse pupils—primarily those with ASC (Autism Spectrum Condition) and SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs).With small class sizes (around 8 pupils), structured timetables to support SEMH needs, this is a unique opportunity to work in a nurturing and purposeful environment where every child can thrive.The Role
  • Teach a small class of children with additional needs (approx. 8 pupils).
  • Deliver Maths, English, Phonics, alongside social and life skills.
  • Support pupils in achieving personalised SEMH and academic targets.
  • Full-time position, with the option of a permanent contract.
  • Job share (3–4 days per week) will be considered.
Candidate Profile
  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) required.
  • Previous experience in SEND (essential).
  • Strong knowledge of KS1 and KS2 curriculum.
  • Confident in behaviour and classroom management.
  • Resilient, empathetic, and enthusiastic.
  • Experience in targeted interventions (preferred).
