This is a key role in increasing growth through an iterative, data-driven test and learn approach across all aspects of the business.Key Responsibilities
  • Work alongside key departments including IT, Marketing, Sales etc. to identify key business challenges and develop a roadmap for achieving strategic goals.
  • Promote the use of data driven decision making through different analytical and statistical approaches and technological developments.
  • Work with large and complex data to develop and deliver a number of predictive and propensity models to optimise acquisition and margin, cross sell and reduce churn.
  • Utilise multiple internal and external data points to develop responsive pricing models that will optimise the value of our full suite of products.
  • Support and enhance existing predictive customer behavioural data model, using internal and external data to identify key growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with IT and BI teams to identify and integrate valuable data sources, automate data collection processes and ensure data quality and integrity.
  • Effectively manage project documentation, analyses, presentations and timelines, ensuring clear communication and understanding of findings and commercial implications.
  • Engage with the BI Reporting Team to build and enrich data visualisation tools and dashboards to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.
Requirements
  • Proven experience working as a Data Scientist or in a similar analytical role, preferably within the fleet industry
  • Strong proficiency in programming languages including Python, R and SQL for data manipulation, analysis, and modelling
  • Strong commercial acumen, able to contribute directly to overall business strategy and identify opportunities for models and technical solutions to solve commercial problems
  • Strong understanding of statistical analysis, machine learning techniques, and optimisation algorithms
  • Experience with data visualisation tools such as Qlik, Power BI, or Matplotlib for presenting insights and findings is preferable
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Degree or a higher education qualification in a relevant field
