- Supervision and Leadership: Manage the daily activities of fitters and apprentices, ensuring smooth and efficient operations during the installation and assembly of control systems.
- Technical Guidance: Provide hands-on support and technical direction during complex installations, fault diagnostics, and commissioning of electrical and pneumatic systems.
- Coordination and Communication: Work closely with engineers, project managers, and clients to ensure installations align with project specifications and deadlines. Act as the point of contact for progress updates, technical concerns, and problem resolution.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of installation, testing, and commissioning activities. Complete job reports, time sheets, and materials requisition forms on time.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Monitor and enforce health and safety practices on-site, ensuring that all fitting activities comply with relevant regulations and company policies.
- Training and Development: Mentor and support the professional development of apprentices and team members, contributing to a culture of continuous learning and skills advancement.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve installation processes, increase efficiency, and reduce downtime during system assembly and commissioning.
- Administrative Support: Assist with day-to-day administrative tasks, including participation in toolbox talks, staff briefings, and project-specific meetings.
- Previous experience in Site Supervisory roles.
- Experience within in an industrial engineering and manufacturing background
- Skill set in both electrical and mechanical disciplines, with experience in automation or complex Material Handling Equipment (MHE) environments.
- Capable of identifying and solving technical problems within a manufacturing environment
- Experience within in an industrial engineering and manufacturing background
- 18th Edition qualification, HND or HNC in Electronics
- Excellent communication & leadership skills.
- Established 3-month rolling contract.
- Monday to Friday Day shifts
- Outside IR35 – Ltd Company Contract
