This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience (or an internship) in music, accounting, or royalty administration who’s eager to build their career in the music industry.In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring artists and rights holders are paid accurately and on time. You’ll support royalty reporting, audits, and payments, while developing hands-on experience in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. If you’re detail-oriented, numbers-savvy, and passionate about music, this role offers a chance to grow your skills while contributing to the success of our artists and partners.Start date: November – December 2025Other duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Assist in the preparation of royalty statements for both label and publishing clients.
  • Support the team in conducting royalty reviews and audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist in processing management commissions and related financial tasks.
  • Help maintain accurate records and documentation across all royalty reporting activities.
  • Liaise with clients, managers, and internal teams to support royalty-related queries and reporting needs.
  • Stay up to date with industry standards and changes in royalty reporting practices.
  • Maintaining client confidentiality at all times in accordance with Sopher + Co HR Policies & Procedures
  • Becoming familiar with, and working in accordance with, Sopher + Co HR Policies & Procedures
About youYou will be confident in working to a high standard, have excellent communication skills and a flexible approach to your work. Additionally, we’d like you to have/be:
  • Prior experience or internships in music, accounting, or royalty environments. (Desirable)A genuine interest in the music industry and a desire to learn. (Essential)
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to multi-task effectively.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., formulas, pivot tables, data organisation).
  • Willingness to take initiative and work as part of a collaborative team.
  • General knowledge of Curve Royalty Systems software.
  • Understanding of music royalties, including publishing and recording income, neighbouring rights, CMOs & PROs.
