We are looking for a committed and adaptable Vocational Teacher to join our specialist post-16 provision. This unique setting supports learners 1:1, guiding them through Functional Skills and developing vocational skills that prepare them for apprenticeships, college courses, and employment.About the Role:Deliver 1:1 vocational sessions tailored to each learner’s career goals and interestsSupport learners in building job readiness, employability skills, and practical knowledgeIntegrate Functional Skills where appropriate to reinforce learningWork closely with SEN professionals to create individualised learning plansGuide students through the transition into apprenticeship schemes or further educationEssential Requirements:Relevant teaching or training qualification (PTLLS, DTLLS, Cert Ed, or equivalent)Experience working with SEN learners, especially in a post-16 environment * Must have atleast 2 years teaching experienceStrong understanding of vocational pathways and employability skillsPatient, supportive, and proactive approach to educationAbility to inspire and motivate young people with diverse needsDesirable:Industry experience in vocational areas (e.g., construction, hospitality, retail, IT, etc.)Knowledge of Functional Skills English and MathsExperience supporting students into apprenticeships or collegeWhat We Offer:A meaningful and rewarding role in a student-focused environmentFull support and training from a collaborative teamOpportunity to move into a permanent position after 3 monthsCareer development and CPD opportunitiesHelp shape the future for young people with SEN this September.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
