This role will focus on building team capacity, fostering career development, and enhancing operational effectiveness.Key responsibilities include overseeing the maintenance and support of our technology estate, which encompasses ANPR systems, CCTV, Pay & Display machines, and mobile tablets. The successful candidate will drive performance through effective team leadership, leveraging management information and operational data to inform decision-making and continuously improve service delivery.This is a pivotal role in shaping a high-performing, future-ready technical team within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.Responsibilities and Duties
  • Provide effective leadership to a team of 7 technical professionals, fostering a high-performance culture across remote and office-based teams.
  • Support individual development plans, coaching, and mentoring to enhance team capability and career progression.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of ANPR and CCTV systems across the estate, ensuring high availability, reliability, and performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement of operational systems, processes, and policies to enhance service quality and efficiency.
  • Lead the resolution of complex technical issues, applying structured problem-solving methodologies to identify root causes and implement long-term solutions.
  • Manage escalations effectively, ensuring timely communication and resolution of incidents.
  • Develop and maintain a knowledge base of recurring issues and resolutions to support first-time fix rates.
  • Utilise management information and operational data to monitor team performance, identify trends, and drive data-informed decision-making.
  • Produce regular reports on system uptime, incident response times, and service-level performance. Set and track KPIs to ensure alignment with business objectives and customer expectations.
  • Act as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment on technical operations priorities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, Projects, and Customer Service to support integrated service delivery.
  • Contribute to the strategic planning of technical operations, including capacity planning, resource allocation, and technology upgrades.
