Are you a passionate and resilient L3/2 SEND Teaching Assistant?Aspire People are looking to recruit a qualified SEND teaching assistant for an amazing SEND school, to assist children with a primary diagnosis of Autism & associated challenging behaviours. We are looking for experienced teaching assistants who can encourage, motivate and support children within the classroom so that they can access the curriculum with confidence.This is a Good school in the North Birmingham area, the children range from 3-16 years and all have an ASD diagnosis and many have associated complex behaviours.The children you will be supporting most likely demonstrate behavioural dysregulation and lower-level disruption. To support these behaviours you will need to be able to motivate the children to help support the teacher whilst demonstrating a patient and understanding nature.
This is a long-term role with the potential to go permanent for the right candidate.The ideal candidate:
  • Level 3 or 2 qualification in Teaching & Learning (ideal) from the UK
  • Long term (an academic term or more) experience of working with children on a one to one basis
  • SEN experience covering Autism
  • Able to communicate and build rapport with the children you support
  • Passionate about working with SEN children & dedicated to helping them thrive and achieve targets set in line with their individual education plan's (IEP)
  • A highly skilled, dedicated consultant with and in-depth knowledge of SEND
