This is a fantastic opportunity for a practitioner who is passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs and their families.The CWD Team in Bury is well-established, well-resourced and benefits from clear leadership and a strong multi-agency ethos. With hybrid working (2 days at home per week) and £38 per hour, this is a flexible, rewarding opportunity for a skilled practitioner looking for a stable locum role.What You Can Expect:A welcoming, stable team with experienced managementHybrid working model – 2 days per week from homeChild-centred approach and focus on strengths-based practiceManageable caseloads and clear service pathwaysOpportunities to develop knowledge around SEND, EHCPs, and transition planningDuties and Responsibilities:Hold a caseload of children with complex disabilities aged 0–18Undertake statutory assessments, care planning, and reviewsWork in partnership with families, schools, health professionals and short break providersSupport children subject to Child in Need, Child Protection, and Looked After processesDevelop and review Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) where relevantProvide transition planning into adult services where requiredEnsure timely, clear recording and evidence-based decision-makingPromote inclusion, independence, and positive outcomes for children with additional needsRequirements:Social Work England (SWE) RegistrationRecognised Social Work qualificationPost-qualified experience in Children’s Services (CWD experience desirable)Good working knowledge of disability services, safeguarding, and multi-agency planningA flexible, proactive and compassionate approachContact: Emily Cooper – 07745200325 |
