Salary: £26,403 - £28,142 pro rataIt's not about standing on the sidelines – this is your chance to be part of the on-site heartbeat of events that light up Leeds. The role is also a great opportunity to gain experience working for major festivals, and many previous Coordinators have gone on to roles in other film and art festivals around the UK.The successful candidate could be involved with events such as Leeds International Film Festival, Leeds Young Film Festival, INDIs Film Festival, Light Night Leeds and Leeds International Beer Festival.Role details

or contact Jamie Cross, Development and Production Manager, Leeds FilmRole responsibilitiesAs one of our Venue and Zone Coordinators, you will be the go-to problem-solver on the festival floor, ensuring audiences are welcomed, volunteers are supported, and every screening or art activity runs to plan. From cinema partners like Hyde Park Picture House and Vue to open-air Light Night zones in Millennium Square, you will keep activity flowing, address real-time challenges, and safeguard visitor experience. Your coordination skills will help the festivals reach thousands of residents and visitors, boost the local economy, and showcase Leeds as a creative, welcoming city.Person specificationsAs a Venue and Zone Coordinator, you will bring:
  • Proven experience coordinating screenings, performances or large-scale public events.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to juggle multiple live schedules under pressure.
  • Confident people leadership, especially when guiding and motivating volunteer teams.
  • Clear, calm communication with audiences, artists and technical crews.
  • A solid working knowledge of health-and-safety principles in event environments.
