Freelance Site ManagerLocation: St AlbansRate: £300 per dayEngagement: CISStart Date: ASAPDuration: 3 MonthsMy client is looking for a proactive and experienced freelance site manager to oversee a commercial refurbishment over four floors. Due to the nature of the works and first turnaround of interior fit out, we are looking for an experienced manager (ideally from a carpentry and joinery background)Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate daily site activities for subcontractors
  • Ensure all works are executed in compliance with health & safety procedures and RAMS
  • Ensure that all operatives are briefed daily and work to method statements and risk assessments.
  • Monitor workforce productivity, ensuring adherence to programme schedules and escalating any potential delays.
  • Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and safety briefings as required.
  • Maintain accurate site records, including daily diaries, progress photos, and reporting any incidents or near misses.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a site manager (5 years plus)
  • Strong knowledge of refurbishment and interior fit out projects
  • SMSTS, CSCS and first aid certification
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
