- Responsible for managing existing customer marketing activity from strategy development, planning and execution across multiple business lines (e.g., cards, loans, savings).
- Management of a number of complex marketing programmes in parallel for the Group, ensuring all are delivered on time and to budget.
- Management of the marketing budget associated with their business line.
- Work closely with stakeholders in Credit Risk, Compliance and Product to ensure alignment of existing customer marketing approach for their business area.
- Provide regular insight into marketing activity performance, actively take any steps to address performance shortfalls and seek out new opportunities to grow the impact of their area on overall business objectives.
- Monitor marketing performance, address shortfalls, and identify growth opportunities.
- Lead multi-channel marketing for existing customers, using test-and-learn strategies to drive value.
- Ensure all marketing activity complies with regulatory and conduct standards, improving processes where needed.
- Risk and control process owner for any existing customer marketing processes for their area.
- Ensure key performance metrics such as selection volumes, mailed/emailed, click through rates, conversion, and business outcomes are regularly communicated and reported against targets.
- Support the transition of marketing technology as part of the Gateway programme.
- Plan, shape, and execute high-impact marketing campaigns that are strategically aligned to business goals, focused on measurable outcomes, and designed to drive meaningful customer engagement.
- Excellent understanding of the credit market and financial regulation.
- In-depth knowledge of financial services marketing and associated Financial Promotions regulation.
- Excellent campaign management, project management and budget management skills.
- Detailed technical understanding of a range of marketing channels including SMS, email, direct mail, outbound, statements and In-App.
- Numerate with the ability to assess campaign performance and manage associated costs.
- Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud is highly beneficial, however, candidates with hands-on experience in similar systems such as Adestra, HubSpot, or Braze will also be considered.
- Good working knowledge of segmentation.
- Able to assess information, identify challenges and provide solutions.
- Marketing qualifications are preferred, particularly with a focus on Marketing Mini MBA or similar, but relevant hands-on experience within financial services marketing will also be considered.
