Contract Type: Full-time / Part-timeAre you organised, reliable, and confident in managing a classroom while ensuring continuity of learning for pupils?GSL Education are seeking a Cover Supervisor to join a school in Nottingham. As a CS, this role provides an excellent opportunity to supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher, maintain high standards of behaviour, and support pupils’ learning across the curriculum.Responsibilities as a Cover Supervisor:
  • Supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring pupils remain engaged and on task.
  • Implement lesson plans left by teaching staff and provide support where necessary.
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management.
  • Support pupils’ learning and welfare during cover lessons.
  • Monitor and report on pupil engagement, behaviour, and progress to teaching staff.
  • Collaborate with school staff to ensure smooth running of the classroom.
Requirements for Cover Supervisor:
  • Previous experience working in a school or classroom environment is desirable.
  • Strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Confidence in managing groups of pupils and maintaining classroom discipline.
  • Professional, reliable, and adaptable approach to cover work.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A CV covering the last 10 years of employment history, with any gaps explained.
