- Lead the development and implementation of Health & Safety Management Systems across all UK sites
- Identify and mitigate potential hazards by conducting thorough risk assessments and ensuring appropriate control measures are in place
- Investigate incidents and near misses to determine root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence
- Ensure full compliance with current health, safety, and environmental legislation, as well as industry best practices and internal standards
- Manage and coordinate all aspects of insurance claims related to health and safety incidents
- Champion a positive health and safety culture across the business, promoting awareness, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Deliver engaging and effective health and safety training, advice, and support to managers and employees at all levels
- Monitor, measure, and report on health and safety performance, including KPIs, audit outcomes, and compliance metrics
- Oversee the safe management of contractors and suppliers, ensuring they meet company safety requirements and site protocols
- Take ownership of emergency planning and response procedures, including regular reviews and staff briefings
- Produce regular reports and strategic updates for the Board and senior leadership team, highlighting key risks, improvements, and initiatives
