The team is dynamic and ambitious with a range of backgrounds from Capgemini, The Instant Group, Barclays Ventures, Octopus Investments, Seedrs & Backed VC.As part of the wider team, Love Ventures has a highly experienced investment committee which comprises of five members, three of whom are exited founders from Skyscanner, Instant Group and Passmark Security, as well as corporate technology experience from Google, PayPal and UiPath.The Love Ventures team is dynamic, energetic and is looking for an individual who matches this energy.What is the role?Love Ventures is hiring for a Business Development Associate, who will be working in the Investor Relations team and responsible for helping to drive the AUM of the business.The core team of seven is a highly motivated and dynamic team. This role gives the opportunity to a candidate who is looking for their next stage of growth and looking to make their mark in a company which has ambitions to grow to be a household VC name.Business Development Associate core job functions:They will identify, research and conduct outreach to potential new investors including high-net-worth individuals, sophisticated investors and through multiple channels including phone, email, LinkedIn, and networking events.They will manage and nurture existing contacts within the HubSpot CRM while developing targeted business development strategies alongside the Investor Relations team member.They will qualify prospects through consultative discovery conversations, prepare tailored presentations and proposals, and maintain detailed pipeline records and conversion metrics.They will attend industry events to represent Love Ventures, collaborate with the investment team on supporting materials, and manage prospect handovers through to investment completion.They will provide regular reporting on business development performance and pipeline activity to General Partner Marcus Love.Business Development Associate desired skills:They must have proven consultative sales or business development experience, preferably within financial services, with exceptional communication skills and ability to build long-term professional relationships.We are looking for a candidate with a strong understanding of investment products and venture capital, who can articulate complex concepts clearly to senior executives and institutional decision-makers.They will be highly proficient in CRM systems (particularly HubSpot), LinkedIn, and GSuite/Microsoft Office, with strong research and analytical skills for prospect identification.This individual will have a results-driven mindset with experience meeting sales targets and excellent presentation skills.They will understand FCA compliance requirements and possess strong organisational skills to manage multiple prospects while maintaining attention to detail.What is the benefits package?Competitive base salary with uncapped commission structureAnnual discretionary bonus based on performance25 days annual leave with an additional day per year of service (capped at 5)Pension contributionFlexible working arrangementsFour weeks working from any locationOther information:If you have any questions about this role, please contact the hiring manager onPlease note, this job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
