Occupational Therapist – Community Stroke Rehabilitation📍Location: Redbridge
💰Rate: £33.00 – £35.00 per hour (Umbrella Equivalent)
🗓️Start Date: ASAPAre you an experienced Occupational Therapist passionate about supporting people with new stroke diagnoses to achieve independence and quality of life? We are looking for a motivated OT to join our client in the Community Rehabilitation Team in Redbridge.About the RoleYou will carry your own caseload, completing detailed assessments and delivering tailored treatment plans for patients in the community. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team (MDT), you will apply your excellent knowledge of current stroke rehabilitation guidelines to support people with complex functional needs.Key Responsibilities
  • Provide evidence-based assessment, intervention, and treatment for people following a stroke.
  • Work collaboratively within the MDT to set and achieve patient-centred rehabilitation goals.
  • Order and recommend appropriate equipment to optimise independence and quality of life.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and professionals to ensure continuity of care.
About You
  • Degree in Occupational Therapy and HCPC registration (essential).
  • Experience of community-based rehabilitation within the NHS.
  • Competent in managing a caseload of stroke patients, with a strong understanding of stroke guidelines and best practice.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
