Pay Rate: £155 – £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-timeAre you a passionate History Teacher eager to inspire the next generation through engaging lessons and thought-provoking content?GSL Education are currently seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable History Teacher to join a school in Stocksbridge (S36). This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated teacher who values fostering curiosity, critical thinking, and a deep appreciation of the past.Responsibilities as a History Teacher:
  • Deliver creative and engaging History lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and potentially KS5).
  • Encourage students to explore historical events, concepts, and perspectives.
  • Plan, assess, and adapt teaching to suit a range of abilities.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes achievement and mutual respect.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the Humanities department’s continued success.
Requirements for History Teacher:
  • Hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Specialism in History or a related Humanities subject.
  • Previous teaching experience in UK schools is preferred.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • A current enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply for a new one.
  • A full, up-to-date CV with explanations for any gaps in employment in the last 10 years.
