Are you looking for a permanent teaching position within a supportive and inclusive secondary school?GSL Education are recruiting a Secondary Science Teacher to join a thriving mainstream secondary school in Fareham, Hampshire, starting from September 2025. This full-time, permanent role is open to Qualified Teachers (QTS), Early Career Teachers (ECTs), and those with recognised overseas teaching qualifications.Key Responsibilities for the Science Teacher:
  • Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics at Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 desirable).
  • Plan and assess learning in line with the national curriculum and department guidelines.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages scientific enquiry and critical thinking.
  • Use a range of strategies to support student progress and classroom behaviour.
  • Contribute to department planning, development, and extra-curricular science activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and provide feedback to students and parents.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
  • QTS, ECT status, or an equivalent overseas teaching qualification.
  • A specialism in Science with strong subject knowledge in one or more disciplines.
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • A passion for teaching and inspiring students in science.
  • The ability to work effectively within a team and engage with the wider school community.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the update service or willingness to apply via GSL Education.
