Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare Financial Accounts: Oversee the preparation and presentation of financial accounts to the board on a monthly basis, providing insights into the company's financial performance.
- Collaborate with Management: Work alongside senior management to enhance financial processes, systems, and controls, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting.
- Data Reporting & Insights: Provide valuable weekly reports and analysis, offering insights to support business strategy and decision-making.
- Compliance & Regulatory Management: Ensure the company meets all regulatory, tax, and compliance requirements, while mitigating financial risks.
- Support External Accountants: Assist with external audits, providing required documentation and facilitating smooth audit processes.
- VAT Returns Management: Oversee quarterly VAT returns, manage foreign VAT processes, and ensure accurate import documentation.
- Cash Flow Forecasting: Prepare and present a 12-week cash forecast to ensure financial liquidity and assist in cash flow management.
- Daily Financial Monitoring: Maintain daily cash collection and supplier payment reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Budget Performance Review: Update the leadership team monthly on budget vs. actual performance, identifying discrepancies and proposing corrective actions.

- Qualified Accountant: A relevant accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent) is essential.
- Experience: Proven experience in a financial controller or similar role, ideally in a fast-paced business environment.
- Deep Accounting Knowledge: Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, allowing you to manage financial operations effectively.
- Business Acumen: A strategic thinker with the ability to make informed financial decisions that align with overall business goals.
- Effective Communication Skills: You can communicate complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders in a clear, accessible manner.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 per annum (Negotiable benefits package)
