We’re looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic client at a leading manufacturing company based in Honiton.About the RoleAs a key part of their engineering department, you'll play a vital role in maintaining, improving, and developing their production processes, machinery, and equipment. This is a hands-on position ideal for someone with strong mechanical aptitude and experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.Key Responsibilities
- Maintenance and repair of mechanical systems, tools, and production equipment
- Supporting design and development of new machinery and components
- Troubleshooting and resolving mechanical issues on the production line
- Working closely with the production team to improve efficiency and reduce downtime
- Ensuring all engineering work complies with health & safety regulations
- Qualified in Mechanical Engineering (Apprenticeship, HNC, or equivalent)
- Proven experience in a mechanical engineering role within manufacturing or production
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
- Good knowledge of mechanical systems and production machinery
- Team player with a proactive and flexible attitude
