Location: Project site based, Bridgwater Status: Full-time, Contract INSIDE IR35 Duration: 31dec25 (renewable) Morson Talent are working with a major player in the Energy Sector who have a CONTRACT requirement for a Field Engineer - Welding & NDT discipline to join their established Project Delivery teams in Somerset. All work is associated with a Nuclear New Build Project - Europe's largest infrastructure Project - currently under construction. Site based working arrangements, competitive all-inclusive daily rates, inside IR35. Overview - As a Field Engineer focused on welding and NDT activities, you will oversee critical quality assurance tasks on the Project, ensuring construction activities align with contractual and safety requirements. ? ? - You will identify and mitigate potential quality issues, supporting on-time project delivery. Typical Activities: - Submit and document non-conformance reports as needed. - Review and monitor Quality Control Plans and Inspection Records. - Evaluate contractor performance and adherence to standards. - Contribute to health, safety, and environmental objectives across site operations. - Ensure documentation and reporting align with regulatory and quality requirements. Experience & Skills - Welding Inspector qualification (CSWIP 3.1 or equivalent as a minimum). - Current or previous qualifications in multiple NDT methods (PCN). - Experience in construction involving fabrication and installation of pressure systems and structural steel. - Fully conversant with British/European standards and design codes including RCC-M and BS EN. - Proven QA/QC experience and ability to document findings concisely and accurately. - Strong organisational, delegation, and communication skills.
