  • Establish and promote safe working practices, ensuring full compliance.
  • Keep accurate records and supply management with required information.
  • Set, monitor, and review prisoner work objectives.
  • Integrate employability skills into daily work activities.
  • Ensure a safe and secure environment for all prisoners.
Work schedule: Full time, 5 days per weekSalary scale: Up to £34,500 per annumBenefits:

Suitable candidates will need to be enthusiastic, resilient and have a humanistic approach. This role will not be for everyone, but anyone with a slight interest is encouraged to apply and if suitable, you will have the opportunity to have a discussion with the hiring manager directly over the phone, who can provide more detail and an insight into life working in a prison.To be considered, suitable candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
  • Hold a Level 5 teaching qualification, or be willing to work towards achieving it.
  • Demonstrated experience in roles requiring strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to adapt to changing demands, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
  • Recent teaching experience with relevant knowledge in Business Skills.
  • Experience within a custodial environment is advantageous.
  • Desirable: Certification in Education or PGCE.
