Are you someone with experience working with children with SEND?A Primary School in the BS11 area of North Bristol is currently looking for a Learning Support Assistant to support within their SEN provision to support children with a range of Learning Needs, SEMH and Speech and Language needs.You will be joining a school who are dedicated to achieving consistently high standards of support, which has resulted in a driven approach to education and an improvement in primary results.The RoleThis is a full-time position starting in the new academic year.As a successful candidate, you must bring a calm and patient learning environment, where you can build a strong relationship quickly with pupils.Working closely with the Class Teacher, you should adapt activities and assess development to communicate progression.You will be expected to:
  • Have high expectations for the individual to succeed.
  • Have experience working with SEND children.
  • Work closely with the SENDCo to understand the child’s needs.
  • Create a stimulating and purposeful environment
  • Manage and Support with the child’s needs.
  • Assess and communicate the individuals’ successes and developments.
