Trainee CNC Operator
Location: Arundel
Pay Rate: £12.50 - £15.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Employment Type: Permanent | Full-Time
Shift Times: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM (No nights or weekends)About the Company:
Teh client is a specialist manufacturer of high-precision aluminium components, supplying industries such as automotive, marine, and medical. they work with a range of advanced CNC machinery, producing low- to medium-volume parts in a clean and well-equipped engineering environment.About the Role:
This is an entry-level CNC Operator position - perfect for someone just starting out in engineering, such as a college leaver or someone looking to retrain in a skilled trade. You'll be trained on-site by experienced engineers, gaining hands-on experience in CNC machining.Key Responsibilities:
  • Operating CNC milling and turning machines (full training provided)
  • Loading/unloading aluminium components and monitoring machining cycles
  • Performing basic quality checks using calipers, micrometers, and gauges
  • Working to job instructions and reporting any issues to supervisors
  • Keeping your work area clean and organised
  • Learning about machining tolerances, materials, and drawings as part of your development
Machine Control Systems You'll Use:
  • Mazatrol
  • Siemens
  • Fanuc
Training will be given on each, so no prior experience is required - just a willingness to learn.What We're Looking For:
  • Interest in machining, manufacturing, or mechanical engineering
  • Punctual, reliable, and keen to learn new skills
  • Comfortable working with your hands and following technical instructions
  • Team player with a positive attitude
  • Engineering or workshop experience from school/college is a bonus, but not essential
