Role Overview and Responsibilities:IntroductionWe require a skilled and motivated CNC Setter to join our Machine Shop Team, based at our site in Abercynon South Wales.Key Responsibilities
  • Set and operate CNC machines (including lathes and/ or milling machines).
  • Interpret technical drawings and work instructions to ensure accurate machining.
  • Select and install appropriate tools and fixtures.
  • Perform quality checks and first off inspections to ensure product conformance.
  • Optimise machine settings for efficiency and accuracy.
  • Monitor equipment performance and report issues proactively.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with HSE standards.
Qualifications, Skills and Attributes:Skills and Experience
  • Porven experience as a CNC setter in a precision engineering environment.
  • Strong understanding of machining processes and tool selection.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Proven experience programming with Fanuc and Num controls; experience with Mazatrol is highly desirable.
  • Good problem solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
