JB296: Authorising Engineer / Water Hygiene AuditorLocation: NationwideSalary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annumOverview:First Military Recruitment are currently seeking an Authorising Engineer / Water Hygiene Auditor on behalf of one of our clients.Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.Duties and Responsibilities for the Authorising Engineer / Water Hygiene Auditor:
  • Using your expert understanding of the management and control of water hygiene within public and private healthcare settings, you will assist in delivering exceptional consultancy services to clients. Comprehensive knowledge of the current legislation, guidance and British Standards for water hygiene is key to perform your duties to the high standard clients expect.
  • You will be expected to audit existing practices and management systems for clients and create clear and concise reports which demonstrate expert advice on how compliance can be fully achieved to maximise patient safety.
  • You will also be required to assess (deputy) responsible persons, review key client documents to offer constructive technical feedback, attend WSGs to offer advice & guide the discussions from a technical basis and much more.
  • Attention to detail, the ability to develop a working relationship and rapport with site personnel, and a continuous willingness to enhance your knowledge are essential traits.
Skills and Qualifications for the Authorising Engineer / Water Hygiene Auditor:
  • Detailed Knowledge and understanding of HSG 274 parts 1-3, ACOP L8 2013, HTM 04-01, BS8580-1:2019, BS8580-2:2022, BS8680:2020 and BS7592:2022.
  • Experience completing Authorising Engineer tasks and report writing.
  • Strongly effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Highly competent numeracy, literacy, and IT skills.
  • Excellent time management and reliability.
  • Presentable, methodical, and having excellent attention to detail whilst being capable of independent working or working as part of a team.
  • Driving licence and willingness to travel.
