- Support on the implementation of new rota electronic system in Emergency Care
- Responsible for the coordination of Doctors rotas, compiling and ensuring rotas are distributed daily to all relevant parties
- Assist in the design/redesign of the daily rotas with the consultant in charge to ensure that these rotas display shift information in the most accessible manner and can be used to obtain statistical information for use in trust planning.
- Liaise and discuss with consultants future staffing needs relating to the rota, taking account of the skill mix. Assisting in devising alternatives when suitable doctors are unable to be found to fill vacant shifts. Making sure that the right doctor is in the right place at the right time on the rota.
- Upload registrars' master rota on a monthly basis, checking Doctors templates with consultant in charge and notifying registrar of any changes in their shift patterns.
- Help organise shift patterns for new doctors until they can be incorporated into the main rota.

- oExperience of communicating with a range of people both within and external to the organisation
- oNHS experience
- oExperience within relevant work area
- oExperience of working with members of the public
- oSupervision/co-ordination of other team members
- oGCSE grade 5/C or equivalent in English and Maths
- oNVQ level 3 in administration/secretarial or equivalent
- oAdvanced keyboard skills
- oKnowledge of relevant work area and specialist terminology
