GSL Education are looking for a confident and proactive Cover Supervisor to join a dynamic school in Leicester.Job Summary:In this role, you will manage classrooms during teachers' absences, helping students stay focused and engaged while ensuring the learning environment is calm and productive.This is an excellent opportunity for individuals considering a career in teaching or seeking flexible work in education.Key Responsibilities:As a Cover Supervisor, your main tasks will include:
  • Supervising pre-planned lessons in the absence of teachers.
  • Supporting students to complete their work and stay on track.
  • Managing classroom behaviour effectively to create a productive environment.
  • Building positive relationships with students and staff.
  • Reporting back to teaching staff about class performance.
What We’re Looking For:To succeed as a Cover Supervisor, you should have:
  • A proactive and adaptable approach to managing classrooms.
  • Excellent behaviour management skills to ensure a smooth learning experience.
  • Strong Maths and English skills (essential).
  • A passion for education and supporting students’ growth.
  • Previous classroom or youth work experience is beneficial but not required.
