Job Title: HGV Technician (Night Shift)
Location: Bedford
Salary: £50,000 per annum
Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join our team on the night shift in Bedford. This full-time role offers a competitive salary of £50,000 and is perfect for a skilled technician who enjoys working independently and is committed to maintaining top-quality service. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring our fleet operates safely and efficiently, performing diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnostics and Repair:
Perform routine diagnostics and repairs on HGVs, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. * Preventative Maintenance:Conduct regular safety checks and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and enhance vehicle reliability. * Compliance and Safety Inspections:Ensure all HGVs meet safety standards and comply with regulatory requirements through thorough inspections and detailed documentation. * Record-Keeping:Accurately log all maintenance and repairs in line with company policies and industry standards. * Parts Replacement:Identify and replace faulty components, ensuring quick turnaround and minimal disruption to operations. Qualifications and Skills:
  • Experience:
Proven experience as an HGV Technician or similar role with a solid understanding of HGV systems. * Technical Certification:NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent qualification preferred. * Skills:Proficiency with diagnostic tools, strong mechanical aptitude, and knowledge of health and safety regulations. * Work Ethic:Self-motivated with a commitment to high-quality work, especially during night shifts.
