- To effectively and efficiently manage a caseload of clients with complex needs using evidence based principles within Critical Care and Medicine, Orthopaedics and Surgery and Care of the Elderly
- To work as an autonomous practitioner and to provide specialist assessments and treatments to clients, and maintain records in line with Trust and professional standards
- To work as an effective team member and communicate effectively with all internal and external stakeholders including patients, family/carers and the MDT
- To provide leadership, training and education to junior staff, students and assistants, and to provide supervision and 121's with junior staff and assistants
- To deputise for the clinical lead in the absence
- To be highly organised and be able to prioritise effectively and be able to work in a busy environment and under pressure
- BSc, MSc or diploma leading to Membership of Chartered Society of Physiotherapy. Registered with the Health Professional Council (HCPC)
- Registered with the Health Professional Council (HCPC)
- Evidence of relevant Clinical post graduate courses and managerial development.
- Concepts of treatment in Acute Hospital adult rehabilitation.
- Knowledge of Clinical Governance and the impact on clinical practice.
- Aware of audit process
- Broad post graduate experience to include rotations in Elder rehabilitation & Neurology, Respiratory care and Musculoskeletal Outpatients, Orthopaedics.
- Worked within a Multidisciplinary team.
- Use of SOAP notes, POMR and outcome measures
- Experience in several Acute In-Patient rotations.
- Previous Band 6 post
- Ability to manage own caseload. Good time management & organisational skills.
- Good clinical reasoning skills in a wide range of core areas
