- Ability to read drawings, documents, blueprints and project plans to gain a thorough understanding of the project.
- Experience within fabrication and equipment manufacture.
- Preparing material estimates and cost estimates for the product or service.
- Creating labour estimates for manufacturing projects.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with company vendors and contractors.
- Research and obtain data on vendor / material supplier options.
- Using IT software quoting, cost tracking, forecasting and budgeting.
- Obtaining and reviewing offers and quotes by subcontractors or vendors.
- Performing project profit analysis.
- Monitor and lead quality control of equipment, products and services
- Liaise and assist sales team with project estimation including identifying factors that can influence time, cost and in house capabilities.
- Perform project and manpower analysis to ensure business efficiencies.
- Liaise and assist sales team with labour elements of all service related scopes
- Highly motivated and proactive approach
- Demonstrated ability in a mechanical / fabrication discipline or role
- Experience in planning and scheduling
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, documents, blueprints and project plans
- IT competence ideally Microsoft package
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with other departments
- Adaptability and ability to manage multiple priorities to tight timelines
- Valid clean driving license
