Ensuring site activities and safety risks across allocated sites are effectively performed and executed in accordance with applicable SPR and OSHAS 45001 Safety Management Systems, you will ensure site activities and Environmental risks across allocated sites are in accordance with SPRs ISO14001 Environmental Management System.Carrying out thorough WTG/Battery storage facility and Infrastructure safety/technical inspections and audits for allocated sites, producing associated records/checklist/reports detailing issues and programmes to close-out, you will co-ordinate response and close-out of issues identified during routine WTG/Battery storage facility and Infrastructure inspections.Supervising sub-contractors to ensure all site activities are planned and scheduled in accordance with SPRs Central Maintenance Planning System, you will also ensure site activities are performed in a safe, compliant and efficient manner and to the required technical standard.Confirming general statutory/regulatory compliance across allocated sites (H&S, Environmental and Planning related), you will also provide input to site performance reporting tools/systems and offer direct input into achieving applicable SPR O&M key performance indicators for allocated
sites.Assuming responsibility for pre-commencement assessment of all work tasks being undertaken on allocated sites in accordance with the SPR Work Control Management Instruction, you will carry out Wind Turbine Inspections and local fault re-setting in accordance with the Wind Turbine Safety Rules and as required, provide input to the Area Supervisor/Area Manager to support the development and maintenance of the OPEX budgets for allocated sites on an annual basis, supporting updates to forecasts in accordance with business reporting calendars.Assisting with the identification of new and development of existing, site-specific and group-wide operating procedures and policies as defined by the Area Supervisor/Area Manager, in conjunction with the Area Supervisor, you will liaise with internal/external stakeholders including landowners and emergency services, provide 24hr call-out/response for allocated sites in the event of site emergencies, carry out limited HV apparatus operations in accordance with SPR Electrical Safety Rules and work with Area Supervisor to maintain consistent resourcing of area and support of allocated sites during periods of increased workload, personnel training, holidays and sickness.What you’ll bringWith sound knowledge of Electro-mechanical generating plant and apparatus, you will be educated to HNC or appropriate City & Guilds level (Electrical or Mechanical discipline) or possess equivalent transferable practical experience.Displaying knowledge and practical experience of working under the Company Safety Rules or an equivalent 'rule based' system, you will possess good organisational and interpersonal skill and hold the ability to adapt quickly to a rapidly changing working environments, demonstrating a positive approach to change.With a high degree of self-motivation and a flexible approach to work, you will be able to work autonomously with minimal supervision.Previous Battery storage operational/maintenance experience and Windfarm Technician/Supervisory experience is beneficial.You will be computer literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications as a minimum, as well as being familiar with SCADA systems.To be successful in this role you will need a full UK driving license, be able to work at heights and within enclosed spaces and be willing to travel to sites across the entire SPR portfolio in all weather conditions on a periodic basis.Whats in it for youAs well as a competitive salary which is reviewed annually, you can also enjoy a number of other benefits.
