- To maintain and improve the Health, Safety and Environmental Management Systems, ensuring all policies are up to date, relevant, in compliance with the law, implemented effectively and meet the requirements of local accreditations.
- To audit EHS procedures and standards in practice and identify where standards are not being met. Instigating corrective actions with relevant departments and make amendments/improvements to procedures where appropriate.
- Maintain appropriate EHS records, data and timely reporting. Ensure root cause analysis investigation is completed for all incidents, appropriate action is identified and ensure all actions are closed.
- Control the site Hazard, Near Miss and Reportable data base.
- Liaison and participation with Regional and Corporate EHS colleagues, through calls, meetings and implementation of SW Corporate standards
- Provide information on occupational health related concerns with support from occupational health resource. Initiation of any necessary occupational hygiene monitoring and provide advice and guidance on the results
- Use hierarchy of control measures to minimise exposure to hazardous substances, and danger from flammable, explosive, electrical, noise, manual handling risks and other hazards.
- Ensure efficient EHS communication via EHS Committee Meetings, attendance and sharing information from EHS EMEAI meetings and EHS Alerts from other sites. Promote safety messaging at the start of every meeting.
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies, Health and Safety and/or NBOSH qualifications
- EHS experience within a manufacturing environment including managing comprehensive health, safety, and environmental programs.
- Previous experience applying specialised knowledge in an area of health, environmental, and safety programs.
- Experience leading site procedural and operational audits.
- Previous experience developing and implementing programs, policies, and procedures
