Rate: Competitive — details to be discussed upon applicationWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Psychologist (Band 8a) to join our client in Widnes, Cheshire. This is a full-time opportunity to lead and shape psychological services within an Adult Mental Health setting.Key Responsibilities
- Attend and contribute to Clinical Leads and Hospital Governance Meetings.
- Support the provision of psychology services in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ensure service users are fully engaged in their care pathways.
- Deliver direct psychological interventions and staff training programmes.
- Lead on service development and implement evidence-based clinical initiatives.
- Participate in recruitment and supervision of junior psychology staff.
- Develop and implement policies to enhance staff safety and risk management.
- Collaborate with internal and external agencies to improve treatment pathways.
- HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist.
- Doctorate in Clinical, Counselling, or Forensic Psychology (or equivalent).
- Charterable status with the British Psychological Society.
- Proven experience in working with complex mental health needs and trauma.
- Strong skills in psychological assessment, formulation, and therapeutic intervention.
- Experience in supervising junior staff and contributing to service development.
- Competency in cognitive functioning tools and a range of therapeutic modalities.
