GSL Education are working with a well-regarded secondary school in Winchester to appoint a full-time Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to start in the new academic year.This school offers a warm and inclusive environment where every child is supported to reach their potential. Staff are encouraged to progress professionally, with training and development opportunities available for those keen to build a career in education.What You’ll Be Doing
  • Assisting students on Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), ensuring their individual learning needs are met.
  • Supporting classroom teachers to deliver engaging lessons and positive learning experiences.
  • Leading small group activities and one-to-one sessions to boost confidence and progress.
  • Helping to nurture students’ personal and social development alongside their academic learning.
  • Encouraging independence and resilience in the young people you work with.
What We’re Looking For
  • Previous experience supporting young people (in schools, youth work, or care) is advantageous but not essential.
  • Patience, empathy, and adaptability are qualities we value highly.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with students and staff.
  • A genuine interest in helping young people succeed both inside and outside the classroom.
