Hythe Medical Centre are looking for a Reception Lead to support our hard working team of receptionists, administrators and medical secretaries.The role will consist of working front of house and undertaking reception/administrative duties as well as having dedicated management time.Main duties of the jobIn addition to undertaking reception/admin duties:a. Overseeing the administration and support operations of the practice, ensuring staff achieve their primary responsibilitiesb. Line managing all administrative staff, supporting staff development, providing guidance and direction and appraisals and ensuring staff are up to date with mandatory trainingd. Identifying and delivering team training where requirede. Compiling administration staff rotas and managing overtimef. Reviewing and updating all administrative and reception policies and procedures as requiredg. Supporting the management team in the compilation of practice reports and the practice development planh. Developing, implementing and embedding efficient office processesi. Acting as a focal point for the practice managing requests from external organisations such as the local police, solicitors, DVLA and other agenciesj. Coordinating the provision of temporary administrative and reception staff, ensuring sufficient cover is providedk. Updating the appointment system to reflect leave and other approved absencesl. Providing initial guidance to patients who wish to verbally complainm. Managing all deliveries to the practice, ensuring adherence to the cold chain policy as necessaryn.   • Sensitive and empathetic in distressing situations
  • Ability to work under pressure
