Here at Long-Term Teachers, I am currently seeking a Teaching Assistant to support a KS2 pupil in a Primary School in the BS49 area of North Somerset.This Primary School is a 2 form entry school who value themselves on providing a happy, safe and supportive learning environment where children can achieve both academically and personally.As part of a Trust, this school holds their unique identity, but also works closely with other schools in the area to strengthen and create a successful community.The RoleThis position is a full-time opportunity for a Learning Support Assistant.You will be expected to start from September for the whole academic year.As a successful candidate, the school is looking for someone with great communication skills, have prior experience working with children and to have knowledge of SEND and SEMH.You will be expected to:
  • Work collaboratively with the class teacher to develop activities.
  • Be a resourceful candidate, who can adapt activities to meet the needs of individuals.
  • Work 1:1 with children in a 1:1 environment, supporting interventions and core learning.
  • Support assessment and evidencing learning.
  • Maintain a safe and positive learning environment.
  • Challenge the pupils to achieve their best potential.
