Sports Coach to Cover Supervisor£95-120 per dayYorkStart Date: September 2024/earlier if possibleAre you somebody with an interest/experience in sport that could deliver coaching sessions to secondary school students?Vision for Education are seeking a sports coach/cover supervisor to work across our client schools in one of our client secondary schools in York from September onward, with an earlier start possible this side of the academic year if we can get pre-employment checks completed in good time. This is also an excellent opportunity for anyoe considering Teacher Training to gain paid Teaching Experience prior to starting your ITT.The roleVision for Education is thrilled to collaborate with a distinguished school in York, actively seeking passionate individuals to join us as Sports Coaches/Cover Supervisors, with the prospect of advancing to daily supply work or securing longer fixed-term contracts.In this role, you will be leading classes of approximately 30 pupils in the absence of the class teacher. You'll cover a diverse range of secondary school subjects without the expectation of being an expert in each area. Lesson plans will be provided in advance, leaving you to shine in your role—facilitating learning, managing classroom dynamics, accurately recording registers, and seamlessly handing over to the absent teacher.For those new to the role, fear not!   • A degree or equivalent education.
  • Ideally experience working with large groups of children of secondary age
  • An enhanced DBS check on the Update Service/willingness to apply for one
  • An eagerness to embrace new learning experiences.
  • A natural leader, exuding the confidence to guide a lesson in the teacher's absence.
  • A genuine passion for education and providing unwavering support to young minds.
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
  • GSCE/A Level/Degree
