Teaching Personnel is seeking dedicated SEND Teaching Assistants to join inclusive and nurturing primary schools across Huddersfield.About the Role:As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support for pupils with a range of special educational needs (SEN)
- Assist with the development and implementation of individual education plans (IEPs)
- Support children with communication, sensory, emotional, and behavioural needs
- Work alongside teachers and SENCOs to adapt learning materials and activities
- Promote a positive, inclusive learning environment that supports pupil development
- Previous experience supporting children with SEN (e.g., autism, ADHD, speech & language needs) is highly desirable
- A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to supporting pupils
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A Level 2 or 3 TA qualification (desirable but not essential)
- An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
