As we continue to expand, we're looking for an experienced Electrical IQA to join our dynamic team and help us maintain and enhance our delivery of electrical qualifications.Role OverviewAs an Electrical Internal Quality Assurer (IQA), you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, consistency, and compliance of assessment and verification practices across our electrical qualifications. You will provide support and guidance to our assessors, conduct sampling of portfolios, and ensure all awarding body requirements are being met.Key Responsibilities
- Conduct internal quality assurance activities for electrical qualifications (such as NVQs, apprenticeships, etc.)
- Sample and verify learner portfolios and assessment decisions to ensure they meet regulatory and organizational standards
- Support and coach assessors, providing constructive feedback and continuous professional development
- Ensure compliance with awarding organization requirements and maintain accurate records of IQA activity
- Facilitate standardization meetings, disseminate best practices, and contribute to ongoing quality improvement
- Prepare for and support external quality assurance visits or audits
- Liaise with delivery staff, managers, and external bodies as required
- Recognized IQA qualification (TAQA, V1, D34, or equivalent)
- Relevant electrical qualification (such as NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent)
- Up-to-date industry experience and CPD in electrical installation
- Practical experience of quality assuring vocational qualifications (electrical) within a training or educational environment
- Strong understanding of current legislation, Health & Safety, and best practice in the electrical sector
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Assessor qualification (TAQA, A1, D32/33, or equivalent)
- Experience with apprenticeship standards and End-Point Assessment
