A well-regarded mainstream secondary school in Bournemouth is seeking to appoint a dedicated and experienced Pastoral Manager to join their team on a full-time basis from September 2025.The school prides itself on creating a nurturing and inclusive environment where every student feels supported, valued, and empowered to achieve their full potential. The Pastoral Manager will play a vital role in upholding this ethos by providing high-quality pastoral care, supporting student wellbeing, and helping to maintain a positive school culture.Working closely with the senior leadership team, Heads of Year, teaching staff, and external agencies, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the pastoral support provision across the school. This includes supporting students with behavioural, emotional, and social difficulties, managing safeguarding concerns, and ensuring that all students have access to the support they need to succeed both in and outside the classroom.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pastoral or welfare roles within a school or similar setting, a clear understanding of safeguarding procedures, and the ability to build trusting relationships with students and their families.
