You will deliver engaging lessons, maintain a positive learning environment, and ensure continuity of education when class teachers are absent.Responsibilities of a Primary Supply Teacher:
  • Delivering pre-prepared lessons and adapting teaching to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Creating a supportive and engaging classroom environment where pupils feel motivated to learn.
  • Managing classroom behaviour effectively and promoting positive attitudes to learning.
  • Building strong relationships with staff, pupils, and parents to support school values.
  • Contributing to the wider school community and ensuring safeguarding procedures are followed.
To be successful as a Primary Supply Teacher, you should:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Experience teaching in primary settings across different key stages.
  • Strong classroom management skills and flexibility to adapt to different environments.
  • A passion for supporting children’s learning and development.
  • Commitment to upholding safeguarding and child protection policies.
  • Provide a full, up-to-date CV with explanations for any gaps in employment in the last 10 years.
