We are seeking a compassionate and proactive SEMH Support Officer to join our secondary school team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting the wellbeing, emotional resilience, and mental health of young people.You will work closely with students who are experiencing social, emotional, or mental health challenges, helping them to access learning, build positive relationships, and achieve personal and academic goals.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide 1:1 and group support to students with SEMH needsImplement strategies to improve emotional regulation, resilience, and coping skillsSupport students in developing positive relationships, social skills, and self-esteemWork closely with teachers, SENCO, and external agencies to monitor and support student wellbeingMaintain accurate records and reports on student progress and interventionsPromote a safe, inclusive, and nurturing school environmentRequirementsExperience working with secondary-aged students with SEMH needsUnderstanding of mental health strategies, trauma-informed practice, and safeguardingStrong communication, empathy, and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamCommitment to promoting student wellbeing and safeguardingBenefits to YOU:
