Make a difference every day.As a Chef at Sodexo in Nuffield Health Guildford, Stirling Road, Guildford, GU2 7RF, you'll play a vital role in preparing high-quality meals that support patient wellbeing and enhance the overall dining experience. You'll be responsible for managing your own section of the kitchen, ensuring every dish meets our high standards. You belong in a team where you can act with purpose and thrive in your way.What you'll do:Prepare, cook, and present food for patients and staff for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, following agreed recipes and standards set by Sodexo and the clientFollow all company and legal food hygiene regulationsComply with all health and safety regulations set by the company and legal requirementsWork in a clean, tidy, and efficient mannerEnsure the restaurant is clean and tidy at all timesProvide a helpful, friendly, and welcoming service and environment in the staff restaurant at all timesEnsure all food is served to patients at the agreed timesAccurately record all food wastage and report it to the managerEnsure requests by patients or staff with special dietary requirements are metCheck dates on food and dispose of any out-of-date itemsComplete all required cleaning and temperature recordsPerform ad-hoc duties as and when requiredWhat you bring:
  • NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) and at least 2 years' experience as a chef
  • Strong culinary skills and a genuine passion for cooking
  • Ability to perform well under pressure in a busy kitchen
  • Clear, respectful communication and a strong team spirit
