Behaviour Support MentorDo you have experience supporting young people with challenging behaviour and want to make a real difference in their lives? We’re working with a mainstream primary schools in Huyton (L36) who are seeking a resilient, proactive Behaviour Support Mentor to join their team full-time from September.This role is ideal for individuals with backgrounds in youth work, sports coaching, mentoring, social care, education or residential support who are confident in building positive relationships and encouraging change.What You’ll Be Doing:Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEMH and behavioural needsImplementing behaviour management strategies and de-escalation techniquesSupporting students to engage with learning and improve social skillsEncouraging positive choices and building emotional resilienceWorking closely with teaching staff, pastoral leads, and therapists to meet individual needsHelping create a safe, consistent, and supportive school environmentWhat We’re Looking For:Previous experience in behaviour support, youth work, mentoring, or similar roles such as within schoolsCalm, empathetic, and resilient under pressureConfident in managing challenging behaviour and maintaining boundariesA positive role model who inspires and motivates young peopleA child-only Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)What’s On Offer:£102 – £108 per dayOngoing CPD including Behaviour Management & Team Teach trainingOpportunity to make a real, lasting difference in young people’s livesSupportive and experienced school leadership teamPotential for permanent contracts after a successful trial period
