Financial Controller | Leamington Spa | Full Time | £65,000-£75,000paOur client is a rapidly growing manufacturing SME, focused on end-to-end support of its customers from engineering and technical support to high volume manufacturing. Predominant industries are both Wind Energy and Automotive with a particular focus on the rapidly evolving EV market. Working directly with OEM’s they become a trusted advisor to all functions supporting their customers to lead in their field.In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the financial function.Are you the right person for the job?
  • CIMA/ACA/ACCA qualified or finalist with strong relevant experience will be considered
  • Relevant experience in the manufacturing industry would be highly beneficial.
  • Indepth and operational experience of SAP Business 1 a distinct advantage.

What will your role look like?Accounting
  • Overall responsibility of the accounting function
  • Ensuring the business meets all its statutory and compliance obligations, including statutory accounting and tax issues.
  • Plan and set-up payments.
  • Run month end balance sheet reconciliations
  • Preparing Monthly Management Accounts and board report.
  • Prepare Year End Accounts and liaise with the external accountants.
  • Supervising and developing Accounts team
  • Prepare annual R&D Tax claim
Financial Management
  • Developing credit control strategies
  • Managing cash flow to provide sufficient working capital
  • Managing grants and other fundings
  • Budgeting and Forecasting to achieve the 1-5 year goals of the organisation
  • Represent Finance & Company Systems on the Senior Leadership Team
  • Setting budgets and financial goals, and working with all senior managers to keep the business on track to achieve the goals
  • Providing insights on the financial performance and health of the organisation.
  • Working with other teams to identify cost reduction, revenue generating, process improvement opportunities, and to support them in the exploration of those opportunities
  • Ensuring that Financial Policies and Procedures are adhered to
  • Identifying Financial risks and suggesting mitigation measures within the ERP system
  • General administration
  • Suggesting efficient and effective business processes and controls to adapt to changes in the business
