
Senior EC&I Engineer (Client Side)

- On-demand plant surveys and inspections to gather Pre-Construction Information.
- Provision of general design support to construction, commissioning and pre-ops phases.
- Rapid resolution of TQs/FOBs.
- Improved communications with site-based stakeholders.
- Reviews of future (FY22 and beyond) design packs.
- Co-ordination of the captured data, and transfer onto the SL ArcGIS.
- Delivery of tasks and support requests to quality and schedule.
- Maintaining effective communications with a wide variety of stakeholders, from plant-based staff to off-site design teams.
- Supporting timely responses to Technical Queries and Fault Observations raised by the off-site design teams.
- Daily liaison with the project team delivering the works.
- Upward, prompt reporting of issues.
- Ensure that input to designs are required standards
- Ensure that the work is completed to the agreed schedule.
- Proactive interaction with other disciplines and partners to ensure overall project goals are met. Drive innovative solutions to reduce cost and schedule.
- Participate in relevant meetings, such as Model Reviews, Design reviews.
- Support the Lead Engineer where required.
- Educated to HNC / HND or degree in a relevant discipline or a chartered & member of an appropriate institute.
- Strong client facing skills for Intelligent Customer interactions.
- Nuclear site experience (preferably Sellafield) and operating in a site-based role.
- Background experience demonstrating a record of successful delivery to timescales.
- Previous design delivery experience.
- Familiarity with SL systems e.g., Cimage, icePAC, CAESAR, AVEVA.
- Familiarity and experience of working and complying with applicable SL Practices, standards, and engineering guides.
- Experience and familiarity with designing for delivery/implementation and associated project construction and execution.
- An overarching appreciation of multi-design interactions and interfaces.
- Experience across the design lifecycle.
- Preferably DV clearance but those with SC will be considered.
